This policy explains what information Casting Station collects, how we use it, and how to reach us about it. We keep it short and plain.
When you create an account, we collect your name and email through Clerk, our authentication provider. When you describe a role in the chat or in the app, we collect what you type — your casting notes, briefs, and search descriptions — so we can build your brief and run your search.
What you type is used to understand who you're looking for, turn it into a structured brief, and search for matching people. It's tied to your account so you can come back to your searches and lists. We don't sell it or use it to build advertising profiles about you.
We use AI to gather publicly available information about people who might fit your brief — for example public profiles on social platforms, casting databases, and the open web. This can include names, public profile details, and contact details a person has made public. We surface this to help you decide who to reach out to; you're responsible for how you use it.
We rely on a few trusted services to run Casting Station: Clerk for sign-in and account management, Resend for sending email, and AI providers that power the search and brief-building. These providers only handle your information to provide their part of the service.
We don't sell your personal information. We share it only with the service providers above, or when the law requires it.
You can ask us to show you the personal information we hold about you, or to delete it. Email contact@thecastingstation.com and we'll take care of it.
We may update this policy as the product grows. When we make an important change, we'll update the date at the top of this page.
